Webb School Baseball Project

This Spring, the Summit Concrete team recently completed one of our favorite types of commercial concrete projects: baseball facilities. In this post, we are going to show you the before and after transformations of the project we did for Webb School’s brand new baseball facility in Bell Buckle, TN.

(Fun fact: Summit Concrete’s founder and owner Chuck Akers was a former baseball player for the MTSU’s Blue Raider baseball team and was named MVP in the 2003 Sun Belt Tournament Championship.)

We’re excited to share with you photos of the incredible work that we did. Keep reading to see the transformation of this baseball field from start to finish.

Before & After Transformations

The Webb School wanted a brand new baseball facility that’s modern in design. So, they came to us to build their concrete structures.

We started working on this project late last year in the fall season, which can be seen in the photo below.

After months of hard work, we finished building all of the concrete structures. The structures we built include concrete foundation, retaining walls, stairs, and two dugouts. As seen in the photo below, these structures are located along the infield. With the help of our work, we contributed to building and designing a beautiful new baseball stadium for Webb School.

Here’s a view from inside the baseball field showing the concrete structures that we built. As you can tell, these concrete structures have a nice, contemporary look to them.

Below is the concrete platform we built for the seating area where viewers watch the game.

Seen here is a baseball dugout that we built to house the benches for the players and coaches to gather and sit during the game. We built a total of two dugouts; one is for the home team and the other one is for the visiting team. The second dugout is located in the same location but on the opposite side of the field along the baseline.

We built this concrete brick retaining wall to define and section off the baseball field. We also installed stairs so that people don’t have to walk from one end of the baseball field to another to enter or leave the baseball field.

We couldn’t be more proud of the final results of this project! The Webb School and its baseball team are beyond amazed at what we did for them.

Here at Summit Concrete, we love working on baseball fields. As the leading concrete company in Middle Tennessee, Summit Concrete is experienced in delivering superior quality for commercial concrete projects that suit the exact needs of your business.
