Chuck Akers

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chuck Akers, the dedicated founder and owner of our company, Summit Concrete, who passed away on December 28, 2024.

Chuck’s vision and leadership were instrumental in building Summit Concrete into a successful family-owned concrete company that has delivered quality service with integrity and Christian values since 2015.

He was a devoted husband of Blair and a loving father of Layne and Nori and family and friend to many. Chuck was a lifelong resident of Murfreesboro, attended Oakland High School, was an All State and two time state champion baseball player.

He continued his baseball career at Middle Tennessee State University where he was a part of three championships and three NCAA Regional teams. Chuck went on to coach and touch the lives of many young men through BC Athletics.

Chuck was a pillar of our community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Summit Concrete will continue to meet the needs of and provide premier service to the greater Middle Tennessee area.
